The 9th Internet Governance Forum (IGF) was held in Istanbul, Turkey on 2 to 5 September 2014. IGF is annually held, and run by the IGF Secretariat, with the purpose to support the United Nations Secretary-General in carrying out the mandate from the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) with regard to convening a new forum for multi-stakeholder policy dialogue. IGF serves to bring people together from various stakeholder groups as equals, in discussions on public policy issues relating to the Internet.
DotKids Foundation has participated and contributed in multiple ways, including speaking as workshop panelists and co-hosting workshops, to share our views on child-friendly Internet, child online safety and child & youth participation in Internet Governance in various related workshops, please find some of the workshop report below.
