During early September, it is so grateful to meet with some new friends working in the community who concerns child protection online issue, we have visited Terre des Hommes International Federation, INHOPE and insafe during the short trip in Europe, to share our mission of creating child friendly internet and know more about the good work they are doing.
Brief Introduction of the mentioned NGOs
The Terre des Hommes International Federation is a network of ten national organisations working for the rights of children and to promote equitable development without racial, religious, political, cultural or gender-based discrimination. Terre des Hommes has launched the “Sweetie” online campaign to stop webcam Child Sex Tourism in developing countries in 2013.
INHOPE is an active and collaborative network of 51 hotlines in 45 countries worldwide, dealing with illegal content online and committed to stamping out child sexual abuse from the Internet.
insafe is a European network, comprised of 31 national awareness centres (27 of the EU member states, plus Iceland, Norway, Russia and Serbia). Every national Centre implements awareness and educational campaigns, runs a helpline, and works closely with youth to ensure an evidence-based, multi-stakeholder approach to creating a better internet.
