Change Request to ICANN on .kids application
Since the submission of the application to ICANN in early 2012, the DotKids Foundation have continued to work closely with our community members on our vision to create a kids-friendly Internet namespace. Among the many activities, the team has been invited to meet and participate at the United Nations Committee on the Rights of the Child as well as the ITU Child Online Protection working group to jointly develop the .kids initiative with the global kids and children rights community. The changes submitted reflect the refinement of policies based on these discussion with our community members on the operation of “.kids”.
The changes submitted also include many more letters of support from around the world, including support from Child Welfare League of America (representing over 700 children organizations from the US) and from about 200 Members of the European Parliament.
These information is submitted by the DotKids initiative in good faith as publicly available information to be included for consideration by the CPE Panel for the community priority evaluation (CPE).
